How to feel like yourself more quickly

Hey everyone!

So, I was taking between 40 and 80 mg of adderall every day for about 6 years. In my past attempts to quit, I would get really fatigued/depressed and didn't feel like doing anything but sleeping and watching tv. After a few weeks (even held out a couple months one of the times), I would eventually have to reach for the pills and start back up again.

After doing some research, I was able to find some information that made the quitting process way easier. Within 3 or 4 days, I felt like a happier, more productive version of my pre-adderall self! I'm about a month in now, and am still feeling great! I felt compelled to share this information with the hopes that someone out there can benefit from it:

1) I got my genome sequenced and got a custom supplement regiment based on my genetic profile. Surprisingly, this is pretty affordable (it was $136 for everything) and my results have been absolutely incredible!! Here are the sites:

$99 genome sequence: https://www.23andme.com/

$37 supplement regiment (you can get a basic report free but the $37 one is much more extensive):

My regiment will likely be quite different than yours, but here is what I take based on what the report recommended (it doesn't recommend specific brands; I added a couple links that seemed to be a particularly good value for the quality of the product):

fish oil

Rainbow Light Men's food based multivitamin (also contains men's health stuff, probiotics, and more - plus it's cheap) - (http://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Light-Mens-Multivitamin-Count/dp/B0007YCC7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420172618&sr=8-1&keywords=rainbow+light+men%27s+one+multivitamin)

l-methyl folate

hydroxy B12

N-acetyl cysteine

N-acetyl tyrosine (this is recommended for low dopamine so it may help with stimulant withdrawal                                              symptoms even if you don't have low dopamine for genetic reasons - it         is supposedly superior to l-Tyrosine for long term use)

Neuro Optimizer (http://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Neuro-Optimizer-Count/dp/B0013OVVMI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420174883&sr=8-1&keywords=neuro+optimizer)

 - This has taurine, CDP-choline, phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylserine, which are all  recommended by my report; it also contains Alpha Lipoic Acid which has been shown to reverse Amphetamine induced changes to brain chemistry in mice   (source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/22897629/)

On the recommendation of others on this forum, I also take lions mane mushroom for it's ability to stimulate the secretion of nerve growth factor (may help repair nerve/neuron damage from adderall - definitely noticed an improvement in nerve damage from an old baseball injury and my HPPD ("visual snow") from past psychedelics use cleared up). As a result of my own research, I take creatine monohydrate and bacopa monnieri in the morning and ashwagandha at night; these all have A TON of benefits - the following links have distilled summaries of the scientific literature and links to the studies:

2) Meditation

After exploring a number of meditative traditions over the years, this is surely the wisest and most powerfully transformative system I have encountered (plus it's free :)). There are hundreds of lessons that progressively introduce new techniques. Take it slow and be consistent with it and your mind, body, and spirit will heal (and then some!) before you know it. Here's the site:

Best of luck
