I'm over 3 years clean now and loving life. Adderall completely destroyed me before quitting and I would be willing to get coffee and talk with anyone in the area that needs some extra inspiration/motivation to quit or stay quit. I haven't been posting on here with how busy I am with work and life but would love to give back and help someone in need out in the area.

I recently got out of Hazelden for my nearly 10 year addiction to Adderall. Things certainly aren't getting easier. Would love to meet some other Twin Cities peeps with similar stories to mine! I have yet to meet anyone in recovery with the same drug of choice as me. Apparently we're a unique breed!! Which kinda sucks.

Hello you guys!  I am really going through it and would love to meet somewhere in Twin Ciies if you guys are still willing/able to maybe talk some of this stuff over.  It's only the second day I have tried to not take my medication....

Day 2?  Amazing. Good luck on your journey. I am trying to remember what that was like 14 months ago. I had read enough posts on this site by the time I finally quit, that I was prepared for the long haul. I was raw, numb, and burnt out. I gave myself permission to suffer extreme withdrawal, decided to stock up on healthy food and beverages, make sure netflix and wifi was working, and braced myself for the storm of recovery. I explained to my wife and work partner I wouldnt be functioning for awhile so please understand and dont take it personally. I went to AA meetings for support, I read their literature and loved it. And did my best to surround myself with like minded people going through recovery. I stopped going to meetings after Covid which is a bummer.  Get ready for a beautiful new life. You will have to grow through the muck to bloom with the beauty of truth as you stay on this path. You can do it!
