  1. As a side note, I do really think Adderall speeds up your metabolism. I had been on it legally since I was 16 and took it for 16 years. The last 5-6 years it stopped suppressing my appetite and I started eating normally and gained about 8 pounds at that point. After quitting, I didn't feel more hungry than usual and haven't been eating any more food or calories and I have still gained 10-15 pounds in 3 months so I believe that i definitely speeds up and makes your burn calories just by taking it.
  2. This is the one I'm using https://www.amazon.com/Callanetics-Official-DVD-Callan-Pinckney/dp/B00B835Y36/ref=pd_sbs_14_img_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=36YVZTTBAXG990WA47FZ
  3. I quit almost 3 months ago and have put on 10-15 pounds. Not sure how much exactly, It was making me depressed so I stopped weighing but enough weight gain that my jeans no longer fit. I started working out more right when I quit in hopes of not gaining weight but I wasn't seeing any results working hard at gym and continued to gain. I started doing this Callanetics workout two weeks ago and I've already lost 2 inches on my waist, 1 on my belly, 1 on my hip, plus 1 inch on each thigh. It's been really magical for me. I haven't actually lost any weight but I've really toned up and my jeans are fitting again! I'm looking slimmer. I'd recommend checking it out. It's from the 80s so it's dated but it works so I don't care. It's really relaxing and you do deep muscle contractions. At first, I didn't think it was going to work but I was really sore the next day and started noticing results after my 3rd time doing it. If you give it try, I hope it works for you too! And I'm happy to answer any questions. Honestly, I was starting to feel tempted to get back on Adderall(for many reasons but one was weight gain) before doing Callanetics but I'm feeling good that I will be able to get my body back under control now.
  4. I haven't done it yet. It's the only thing making me functional at all right now but I am intending to give up coffee too at some point in the future but I want to be more stable. It's kind of my clutch right now. I quit Adderall almost 8 weeks ago and it still feels like I just quit as far as how my body is acting and my brain being pretty useless. I hope quitting caffeine works wonders for you and I'd love to hear how it goes!!
  5. Thank you! I'm glad you're noticing some positive benefits too It's honestly the only thing keeping me going because I feel like I can't do anything.
  6. Thank you! I've definitely been getting down on myself because I feel like I can't get anything done anymore. But thank you, you're definitely right, it's not going to help anything.
  7. I'm at 7 weeks since I quit and I'm still feeling really sluggish still in the morning. It takes me hours to get going and then I'm not really going. I'll take anyone's advice or tips to help. Anyway, despite the rough time I'm having, I'm noticing I look a lot younger. Anyone else notice this as a benefit to quitting? I'm 32 and people usually think i'm in my late 20s but lately I'm getting mistaken for early 20s. The bags around my eyes are gone and I just have a healthier look about me, if that makes sense. Anyway, life without adderall is still super hard for me but it's nice to appreciate the upsides and positive benefits as well.
  8. I just wasn't feeling well ever and always feeling numb inside. I also developed GERD after being on Adderall for 15 years but it is much better off of it. I was also having weird heart palpitations that seem to be fixed now that I'm off it. It's been almost a month since I quit and while I'm struggling mentally, my body feels much more relaxed and happy.
  9. I'm not sure if this is normal but I got a fuzzy brain feeling, kind of like a mild headache, on days I didn't take Adderall. So, I pretty much took it everyday because I hated that feeling. Since quitting, I'm still getting that feeling everyday and I'm approaching my one month sober in a few days. Wondering, when this will stop? Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm hoping for relief soon! I've speculated before it's my brain not getting enough dopamine or something of the sort but I have no idea. Hope everyone is doing well
  10. Hi All, I quit Adderall 10 days ago. I don't regularly work out but I want to get in better shape and hopefully fend off gaining a ton of weight now that I've quit. I'm not super skinny but I'm the proper weight for my height right now so hoping to stay around where I'm at. Even though I'm feeling much lazier overall, I feel more pent up energy inside and WANT to work out. I'm used to having to force myself and then I hated how high my heart rate would getting working out on Adderall so I usually didn't do it. Anyone have any workout recommendations for home workouts? I'm looking for something to ease me back into working out to start with not something totally intense like P90x. Thanks for the advice!
  11. I quit adderall 10 days ago! I've been on it since I was 15 and I'm 30 now. Unfortunately, I didn't take many days off, maybe 20 days per year so I feel like my brain is really messed up. I'm worried I wont be able to heal it. Can my brain heal and be normal? I am having lots of problems since quitting but some really good stuff too. Right now, I'm super bloated/constipated and not able to focus on my business much at all. Honestly, I pretty much don't have a concept of what life is like not on drugs/speed. I'm not sure how much focus a normal person has and what I should be expecting for myself in the long run, if that makes sense. Were you able to regain focus? I'd love if anyone could share what their focus is like now vs when on Adderall. On the upside, I'm not feeling like a zombie. I laughed a bunch yesterday and actually felt it. It's been so long, I forgot what that felt like. Since my use started as a teen and I was only taking my prescribed dose, I always associated my muted emotions with getting older and becoming an adult and not the Adderall. Now, I'm realizing that I probably could have had a much different life. I'm not even sure who I am now and it's liberating but also kind of scary. I'm also finding myself angry for the first time that my parents put me on this stuff as a teen but I also know that I have control of my life and could have quit years ago.
  12. Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on your 1 year! That's awesome
  13. Thanks Nicole! I do drink coffee(I've really uped my coffee consumption this week because of quitting Adderall). And I have been taking probiotics and eating yogurt. Hopefully, my body will regulate. Did you find any diet changes helped? I'm thinking about trying no bread or low carbs until the bloating goes down. It's embarrassing to be so bloated but I'm happy it's winter time. I've worn lots of sweaters this week lol
  14. Hi All! I quit a week ago today, yay! I've been on it since I was 15 and I took it for 15 years total so this is a huge adjustment. It's been a rough week but I'm feeling good with my decision and it needed to happen. However, I am suffering from extreme bloating and constipation. I look 3-4 months pregnant because I'm so bloated. Did anyone else have this? How long did it last? Any suggestions or things i can do/take to help? Thanks a lot!
