The New Moon!

The days around a New Moon are my favorite time of the month.  I am usually more motivated, energetic and generally happier around the new moon.   I also sleep better during the dark time of the moon.   and I experience the opposite of these feelings during the time around a Full Moon....usually, but not every month.  Anyway, if I want to get some shit done I will plan it around the new phase of each moon.  I'm not into astronomy  but the moon phase is a pretty reliable thing for me to plan around the motivation, mood, and energy ups and downs of life.

our chat about full moons interfering with sleep was the first i had ever heard of the topic.  i thought you were joking at first actually but then i looked into it and there's actually something to it.  in fact i spoke to people at work that day and many of them said they barely got any sleep at all that night

The lunar cycles definitely affect me.   Each lunar cycle brings its own unique ebb and flow of energy that I move with and through, but some are stronger than others.  The new moon is usually a calm, quieter time.  Supposedly it's a good time to begin new things.  Some full moons, I have crazy insomnia and will be lying awake all night with unstoppable thoughts and reflections that lead me to deeper insight into my life.  Sometimes I have intense dreams around the full moon, and often these dreams help me understand my life more fully.  Sometimes my energy levels rise as the full moon approaches, then there's a kind of letting go that happens after it peaks.  And then I'll go through phases where I don't notice or pay as much attention and it doesn't affect me as strongly.

A lot of people I know have reported having insomnia, and being affected in other ways by lunar cycles.  I think it's real.  The ocean and other bodies of water are very heavily influenced by the moon's cycles, so why wouldn't we?
