If I take it and act like a complete lunatic or say things that I never normally would, I just have to let people think I'm a tad crazy. Abusing it for years also wreaks havoc on your life and I always think about where I would be if I had never taken it. I definitely took a detour through life and would love to be married with kids and have a fulfilling career but spending ten years addicted to adderall kind of got in the way. It left me feeling powerless and paralyzed when I ran out early, but couldn't get any. I remember the times I would find myself going off on the doctor's admins if they did not call me back in time to pick up my prescription the day I had it planned. One of mikes posts about each day off adderall being like a funeral and a birthday at the same time sums it up perfectly. Whether we are using it or not - it is always there telling lies. Recovery is and will be for me - continuing to ignore the lies it whispers in my ear.
