BeHereNow
Just read this powerful little article, compiled by a palliative nurse who works with people who are dying. One of the top regrets is working too hard. Another is losing touch with friends. http://www.alternet.org/5-top-regrets-people-have-end-their-lives Very inspiring!
Searchingsoul9
Very eye opening. If i died today, all i would have would be a huge list of regrets. Definitely hope that changes!
BeHereNow
I like that this article validates what we're doing by quitting. All the regrets on that list-- like friendships, work, happiness-- are things that adderall takes away from us. It's easy to regret those years lost by taking it..... but very inspiring to remember that these most important aspects of life are available to us ONLY through by quitting.
quit-once
This fits one of my very strong mantras for having inner peace living happily: If I died tomorrow, there is really nothing I would regret, leave unfinished or want to do over. My adderall addiction briefly got in the way of living that mantra.
Motivation_Follows_Action
I remember a wise friend telling me once that regret is a useless emotion, because you can't do anything about regret, except change. So change!! Here's another little wisdom from a fellow dog lover. Don't feel anything a dog wouldn't feel (ok it's a bit oversimplistic but still)... dogs feel guilt, but not regret. They feel anger and fear, but not resentment. They feel joy, and pain and loyalty and compassion. DOGS RULE!
