lunax
Does anyone take Wellbutrin and L Tyrosine together? If so, I'm just curious about the doses of both of these together. I'm currently on 100mg of Wellbutrin SR which isn't doing much. 😒
BeHereNow
I was wondering the same thing! Since I started Wellbutrin I haven't been taking Tyrosine. But 100 mg is a pretty low dose. The average person takes 300 mg/day so maybe ask your dr?
Jeff211
I've done it before, although it was low doses of each. From what I recall (it was several years ago), If I took too much Tyrosine I would feel over stimulated like taking too much addy. But you dont have to worry about any major interactions as Tyrosine is the chemical before the rate-limiting step of the synthesis of the Dopamine. Your body will basically pee out the excess. Just be safe, start at a low dose and gradually work your way up.
BeHereNow
Finally tried this combo and it's pretty great. I started at lower doses and gradually built up my tolerance to both. I take 300mg Wellbutrin XL and 1000 or 1500 mg of L-Tyrosine in the morning with a B-complex vitamin, followed by a healthy high-protein breakfast and I'm good to go. Just don't drink too much coffee!
