Army Recruitment & Adderall Recovery

Today I listened to an interview with the General in charge of recruitment for the US Army on NPR radio.  He said they require somebody who has been on ADD meds to be off of their meds for at least one year before the Army will consider letting them join.

That's interesting. I remember in the book "On Speed" they talked about how military were given prescription amphetamines...but it seems its getting less and less acceptable in organizations, like in MLB.
