Amphetamine and allergies

I have suffered from chronic year round allergies all of my adult life. First of all, I would appreciate it if I did not receive any armchair unsolicited however well meaning advice from people who have minor or no allergies on how to alleviate the symptoms. That is very annoying to someone like me.

What I am interested in is if anyone has had the experience of dealing with this as part of recovery. When taking Ritalin they were less bothersome not that they were better only that I was very unattached from my physical being. Now that I'm over a year clean they really bother me. I can enjoy food and sex again, but my allergies are a real detriment, anyone else experienced this?

I've suffered allergies my whole life but the best option was getting shots.  It sucked getting 3 shots twice a week in the beginning but it had a tremendous payoff.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to do that for a couple of years so I am stuck with Allegra and misery when it doesn't work (about 20% of the time).  I am allergic to just about everything on the tests so my 3 shot regimen is probably not the norm.  Have you seen an allergist?

I am allergic to dustmites and ragweed (hayfever) My allergy symptoms were better when i was using. And now I find my allergies worse. In the book On Speed, I think one of the early treatments for prescribed amphetamines was for allergy relief. I use flonase spray every day, and  breathe right strips because I find it difficult to breathe. Those help me to keep it under control.
