Sunshine2277
Did anyone discuss quitting with their doctor who prescribed it to you? Im afraid if I do they'll put me on an ant-anxiety or anti-depressant medication which I really don't want to do. Should I just try tapering my dosage down myself to ultimately quit? Why did you choose to not consult your doc or if you did then why? I've been on it for 6 years and currently prescribed 50mg a day
NotToday
I called my doctor from rehab and told her to not prescribe it to me ever again. She did mention that she would 'Work with me" on my depression still but I didn't go back to see her (except for about 5 months later and she tried giving me adderall again, don't know if she forgot or what) but needless to say, that was my last time seeing her. I chose to tell her because I knew I needed to cut off the supply because there would be weak days ahead. I think it's very important to tell your doctor to have a successful quit, whether it be tapering or cold turkey, it somewhat keeps you accountable.
Frank B
It's good to tell your doctor however timeline a doctor will suggest probably be way longer than needed. I did it in 3-4 months doctor will say a year or more I just couldn't do that when I make my mind up on quitting not going to dick around forever to make it a little easier actually think that long just makes it harder.
