JB1987
I’d like to begin by saying how glad I am to have found this forum. I was beginning to feel very alone as I struggled with this. I have been taking 20mg xr for about 4 years now. Nobody knows really other than my spouse, but he doesn’t even begin to understand the hold it has on me. He thinks it’s no big deal. I am so scared. There is no going back. I have cut my Dr. who gives me the script out of my life. I am done. What scares me the most, as shallow as this may sound, is the weight gain. I do not want to gain a bunch of weight and I am determined not too. I have started a workout regime of hot yoga about 4 days a week 1 hour each time. I need open ears here. I need to know what’s going to happen to me. Will I be the same? Any tips to deal with the withdrawal? Thanks for listening!
SeanW
Just keep working out. It’s proven to rebuild the neurotransmitters that adderall has fucked up. You’ll be alright. Eat healthy too.
JF99
I’ve been working out consistently since I quit (a little over 2 months ago). I haven’t gained any weight. I’m actually 2 pounds lighter. I was on Adderall for 10 years so the appetite suppressant perk stopped around the fifth year. Hope this helps! JB1987
Bk99 I think it may be more mental than the mendication. Like I feel like I need the Adderall to maintain when actually I don’t.
