  1. At the beginning, I put off mostly all except the “have to.” My day was a success if nothing else got done but staying sober just that day. It gets easier
  2. I am currently 21 months sober from all mind altering substances. And the one that I couldn’t shake for so many years-Adderrall. I remember all those times I would get on this website each time I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I would scan the discussion forums, looking for others that had quit and maybe get some ideas of how I could do the same. Each month, promising myself-after this script, I’m done. Also so many times flushing half of the bottle saying this is it, only to give in the following month, picking up the script and feeling so hopeless again. I wanted to hop on and let others know-it can be done. You can live this life sober and get things done without the help of Adderall. It does get easier. There are days now the thought of Adderall doesn’t even cross my mind. I have been around a bottle of Adderrall from someone else on vacation and was able to stay sober. There were times, if I was around it I didn’t have a choice, I had to give in. That was the best feeling, coming back home and proud I hadn’t given in. Things I never would have thought possible. Do yourself a favor. The sooner you quit, just that much sooner you can start feeling like a human again. Emotions come back, joy of life, clarity, peace. It’s so much better than being a slave to this drug!
