quit-once
If you have graduated from the "60 Day Challenge" Thread, this is the place for you!
Doge
I like that this thread exists. In my recollection, it wasn't until after the 90day mark where I started to not feel the need to count in terms of days anymore.
CarpeDiem!
Many thanks. Tomorrow is day 60 for me, but in my mind, the counting of days really helps, as well as holds me accountable. I'll probably be one of the few who still need it after 60 days, but thanks.
Doge
I think it's great. I think you're great. I think you are doing absolutely just star-spanglingly fucking great! I can't wait to congratulate you for finishing 60 days!
CarpeDiem!
Grumpycat! Where ever you are, I'm hugging you!! Today is day 60 for me, so I'll officially head over here tomorrow. This is the longest I've gone without huge amounts of adderall in my system, or any adderall for that matter, in 15 years! I'm the happiest (grumpiest, low-energy) person in the world right now! I'm proud of me. I can't share just how proud with anyone except this site, so FYI- I'm pretty fucking proud 🙌ðŸ»ðŸ‘🻠
Doge
I'm very proud of you. I'm sure you already know it but there will be tough times ahead still. I was plagued by thoughts such as  "Oh, I'm not addicted anymore, I should get some and just use responsibly now...."or the very evil lie that"I quit once for two months, it wasn't really that bad.... I could just quit again"NEVER EVER forget how hard you had to fight to get to where you are now. Adderall temptation will try to tell you that it was easy.  Sorry for this unsolicited ranting.  It's just that I'm very excited for you and I happened to have some deadly cravings around the 3 month mark that almost completely annihalated my recovery and sent me back down a path of destruction.
CarpeDiem!
GC, thanks for the heads up. I have to remind myself many times a day that 60 days is awesome, but it will take so much longer for my body to return to its pre amphetamine state. It's been SO long, that I hope it knows how to do that 😳. Once again, I had a dream that a friend gave me some adderall and I took a handful of them. The nasty, gritty, urgent feeling I used to get on too much adderall felt so real in my dream. So was the guilty feeling. I've cut off my supply, so I have no where to get them. I miss the productivity of them, but I never want to take one again. Ever. I'll take the lazier, happier, more laid back me any day.
CarpeDiem!
Day 63. I'm full of coffee and about to head to the lakehouse with my daughter for a day on the boat. I love days like today- no schedule, no rush.
CarpeDiem!
Day 66. Life is kind of stressful right now, but I can't really complain. I love seeing my number of days clean get bigger and bigger, so I try to focus on that.

idonttan
Day 54.. Feeling miserable today after eating too much and wanting to go back on it so badly.. But hey, 54 consecutive days after multiple quitting attempts is not worth it, to lose some weight.

Doge
Awesome both of you!!!!idonttan: Yeah adderall won't make the fat burn off anyway. It'll just help you burn off more of your lean muscle mass so that the next time you quit, you gain even more weight because your metabolism is slower. You are making the right choice!  Adderall takes you in the exact opposite direction of where the true you really wants to go.  Carpediem: 80 days is great! Keep stacking more days   You both are getting close to a milestone so start thinking about what you are going to do to celebrate!
Firefly
I second your response, doge, about adderall not really helping lose weight long term. I lost muscle mass so it seemed like I was losing weight but then gained belly weight even while on adderall because I wasn't sleeping and maybe anxiety on the come down. I'm not yet to 90 days. Only day 23. I hope to be here in 67 days!
Doge
Yup thats exactly what kept happening to me. Â Congrats on 23 days Firefly!
CarpeDiem!
Speaking of weight- anyone have any idea about when the metabolism gets back to normal? It seems I'm on an uphill battle with maintaining my weight and I eat pretty clean and exercise most every day. So frustrating!!

Cassie
My weight gain peaked at 3 months clean, started gradually losing it after that. I took Adderall for 5 years, around 20-30mg a day.
AlwaysAwesome
I have gained 40, then I lost 20 and have recently put 10 back on. I am dealing with some depression and lack of motivation issues, though. The excuses just roll of my fingers...
CarpeDiem!
I need to just be patient and avoid the damn scale.
