  5. he would be vacuuming, cleaning the floor, doing the laundry and surfing the internet at 4:30 am with FEROCITY!
  6. It's the only way out unfortunately... Just hang in there
  7. Day 4, great job!! Make your ticker..So every day you can rack up some more pridehttp://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=4
  8. Cassie that is exactly what I was thinking. This is bullshit.
  9. I also went to AA meetings and had an AA sponsor even though my problem was with prescribed amphetamines. Remember the wise words. One is too many 1000 is never enough.
  10. Still breathing...first thing. Go to this link and make a ticker for your 6 months clean http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=4 Look at it and be proud of your clean time ...don't go back to that place where you were taking adderall. Remember those days of staying up for days and days and feeling so horrible. And knowing you were in a mess. Keep looking forward, keep heading in that direction. FYI I use to go through a month supply of vyvanese in less than a week and I couldn't stop myself. It absolutely destroyed my life, my vyvanese induced psychosis was so bad I got fired, I was hospitalized, I got into major credit problems and debt...I am now completely back on my feet but I had to give that horrible drug or class of drugs up in order to get here. Yes, vyvanese is just as addictive as adderall. DO NOT DO IT.
  11. I am in shock...I can't believe they just approved vyvanese for binge eating disorder! Especially with all the negative publicity surrounding stimulants.. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/03/us/concerns-about-adhd-practices-and-amphetamine-addiction.html?_r=0 They need to find less uses for it not more! I see vyvanese is all over marketing the drug for its new use all over its website of course
  12. Don't do it!!! don't even think about it! Just smash all those thoughts about relapsing. Now. 1 year clean time is too much to toss away and you do NOT want to lose that clean time! You earned your clean time.
  13. hi MKM33, try clicking on your avatar picture instead of your name --that usually works for me.Also for those who want to know how to make an adderall quit date event ticker to count the days since you quit adderall go to the following link, enter your quit date and copy/paste the code they provide you in the signature area of your profile http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=4
  14. I just saw the trailer for a new procedural drama, based on the movie limitless..which is about a pill that was basically adderall called NZT-38 or something like that. On the show based on limitless, he will take NZT/adderall every week and solve a crime every week...if you watch the trailer and imagine he's taking adderall it is actually really funny, like an SNL sketch spoofing adderall as a miracle pill, from a recovering adderallic perspective. What is not funny at all, is the documentary AMY which I just saw about Amy Winehouse and left be leaving the theater completely grateful for my sobriety and imagining what life would be like if I didn't leave the black hole of addiction. Would I be dead? One critic review called the documentary a great primer for any addict. As a recovering addict it gave me chills. I agree with the critic. It has 97% on rotten tomatoes.
  15. happy fourth...(Happy belated Canada day to ZK)
  16. Making my brownie recipe for 4th of July bbq
  17. Quit once - can I suggest you check out some forums with recovering alcoholics and see if you can relate to them? If you can relate ... It's time to start dealing with something that could spiral out of control. If you can't relate, then maybe you just need to cut back or try going a month sober and see how you feel.
  18. 3am and I can't put down this book.
  19. Sadly, I have been addicted to each and every one of them. I still think of ritalin as the worst of the bunch and brought about the worst withdrawal and the most amphetamine induced psychosis. But they are all deadly addictive. At one point in my life i was taking ritalin and concerta together. And at another time in my life i was going through a bottle of vyvanese in a week. The answer is YES they are all extremely addictive and as life ruining as adderall.
  20. Awesome CaseyMCN - stay strong and focused on your quit!!
  21. Hey Kam311 - Its great you understand you are making a mistake taking this. Can you think more about what is causing you to take adderall and try to learn and fix that?
  22. Not just you. EVERYONE quitting adderall goes through what you just described. And yes, being easy as yourself as possible is something that works well for members. I don't feel comfortable giving advice on weaning. IT didn't work for me the infinite times I tried it and I strongly believe in the "one pill is too many a thousand is not enough" mentality and that cold turkey is the only way. Have you considered that way? Hang in there!
  23. I was thinking recently how my personality has changed since my whole adderall disaster..and I realized that I am much more vigilant about consequences ever since I recovered. I feel like someone who's home got robbed and ever since has been on alert for a possible break-in...but I feel vigilant - not just about relapsing - but in everyday life. I guess if anything good could possibly have come out of my adderall disaster is that I'm so afraid that my life will come crumbling down again, I'm always concerned I make the right decisions to avoid that. And that doesn't just pertain to relapsing on adderall...but for everything. If i forsee any kind of problem down the road, I start researching how to avoid it. I don't remember being like this before adderall all. I guess this quote illustrates kind of what I'm thinking "Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." Anyone notice anything similar about themselves post adderall whether its more vigilence or something else that changed in you?
