  1. I can honestly say that in the short time that I have been clean (it’s been 40 something days) I have experienced a sense of gratitude for being alive and well. Everyday is a struggle but when you look around there is so much to be thankful for. This is just one of the little rewards that come with being off adderall.
  2. Oh and since exercise is so important in this journey (and I desperately need to get in shape)...i think we should incorporate this into our next challenge for example... I'm checking in at Day20: today I walked 5 miles Thoughts?
  3. I am getting married exactly 100 days from today so I would like to propose challenge #2 "The 100 Day Challenge"!!!! who's in? Checking in at D43
  4. Happy Birthday FW! You're alive! So proud of you!
  5. Thank you Ashley! It's definitely much easier to do this together than alone.
  6. I think Wellbutrin is definitely helping me feel a little less lethargic than others times when I have stopped taking adderall. I agree with FW that you must be patient with yourself, this doesn't come easy for me either but I just keep telling myself that this too shall pass! I think the lack of energy is really just normal at this point so maybe its worth giving your new anti D's a chance before you decide to switch back to Wellbutrin.
  7. I can totally relate to what you described. I had a moment like that a few weeks ago...i too looked in the mirror and thought to myself "there you are...it's been a while". It also happened the first time I laughed really hard, it was almost like hearing myself laugh for the first time. Kinda bugged out but cool at the same time.
  8. Yay so happy when you post. I can't believe you're on day 17...we are all moving along to bigger and better things. So proud of us!
  9. Checking in at D36 You're almost there FW!
  10. Oh and I also had a lot of digestive issues on adderall. One being this idiopathic cough which occurred right after I ate. Although i still have a mild version of it now, when I abused adderall it was so much worse to the point where it was embarrassing to eat around others. I saw a doctor who thought it could be acid reflux but I think a lot of it was due to the fact that I was so fatigued that I was literally gasping for air while I ate. The stomach pain was an entirely different monster but if I recall correctly it was worse during the first few years that I was on adderall.
  11. Hi P, There was a point when I was taking adderall that I was constantly sick. I think people around me started to believe that I was making things up because it was constantly one thing after the other. I suffered from such extreme pain in my joints that I thought I would end up in a wheel chair. The pain was mostly in my knees, wrist, lower back, and jaw. I was also hospitalized for kidney stones and kidney infections several times during the years that I was on it. I KNOW FOR A FACT that all of this was due to adderall! Every time I've stopped taking it my body has felt completely different within just a few weeks. Please consider getting off of the meds for good before you cause any permanent damage to your body. You owe it to yourself and your daughter to be healthy and well. Wishing you all the best.
  12. Hi Sassygirl, I'm curious, are you looking to quit?
  13. FW, have you considered cutting your doctor off to avoid even the smallest chance of a relapse? I haven't quite done so, but I plan to tell my doc not to prescribe any more adderall when I see her next month. Luckily I have enough anti D's for another month so I don't even need to see her until then. Stay strong friend, hope you had another good night of sleep!
  14. Thanks guys. Quitting smoking gives me hope that I will once and for all quit adderall. just taking it day by day!
  15. It was extremely hard for me to quit especially because cigs and adderall went so good together, but it was so worth it! Let me know when you're ready...I've got some tips I can share with ya
  16. yay to sleep! you're so close to completing the challenge!
  17. i haven't smoked a cigarette in 3yrs and 9mths today
  18. Good morning, Just checking in D34 FW, did you get any sleep last night? P.S LunaX is a "she"
  19. FW, thanks for being honest with us. I've had several moments where I felt I wanted to call my doctor as well but I am committed to this and I know you are too. As for your insomnia, have you considered taking a sleep aid? I have been taken 5mg of ambien for a while and it works great for me. I take it around 10-10:30pm and when my alarm goes off at 5:45am I feel pretty refreshed. I come off of it from time and take melatonin (source naturals-sublingual peppermint...I get it from Amazon). I hope this helps! P.s I'm gonna hang out here and keep up this challenge with you guys. We'll have our 60 day challenge together right here! Stay strong!
  20. Took a yoga class today, went for a long walk, and my hubby to be treated me to sushi...I'd say today was a good day! Happy D20!
