  1. Interesting, I look forward to hearing your review
  2. Good plan, I didn't notice the "Donate" button until after this thread was created so I can see how leaving it pinned could make it easily overlooked.
  3. Why isn't this post pinned anymore?
  4. I have read elsewhere that people who get 9 hours of sleep live longer and I know that lack of sleep is a huge trigger for me. When I'm tired I start thinking dark thoughts.
  5. @Luckyducky - good to hear that you are making progress in the right direction again! @SweetCarolinee - way to go on owning the 30 day challenge!!! I hope to see you take up the 60 day challenge. @Jay - How are you doing? Feeling any better?
  6. Don't beat yourself up over sitting around watching tv, it goes with the territory. Slowly work in some small hand projects that you can do while watching TV; this will start to train your mind how to function normally again.

  8. Bummer, it's never easy getting in trouble for missing something; it makes me feel like I got beat in a game. So our new 1 word status update is... WINNING!!!
  9. Way to go Jay!!! Take it easy and get well soon buddy. You will get through this before you know it.
  10. Finally got through all my school work so I can enjoy the weekend. I am going to have to get a head start for next week this weekend because I have a vacation coming up that I don't to ruin by stressing about homework. BTW, one of my instructors is really a dink. He rips me a new one for suggesting a different way to view something with a little hint of memorization and then includes a memorization techinique at the end of his post.
  11. difficult reminder of why I can't drink on work nights
  12. As I was reading this post about the lack of insurance coverage, I was going to suggest seeing if a church program was available but you already have it covered. Getting help is nothing to be ashamed about. Good luck!
  13. Take it easy, this is going to take a lot of time. Good job on cutting back on smoking too.
  14. I've heard that too, but I like how this article breaks it down into phases instead. Afterall, we all experience life in slightly different ways: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonselk/2013/04/15/habit-formation-the-21-day-myth/
  15. And now I'm looking for a Pomodoro application to use *edit* found a Windows 7 gadget and installed it...sweet!
  16. @SweetCarolinee - you are just about to pull into the station! @Luckyducky - I understand your pain and guilt, it sounds like you either need a better plan for your quit or you need some outside help to get this done. I hope you can figure out a plan of action that works for you
  17. I really love your attitude, especially that last sentence; you are awesome! Keep knocking out these work out sessions. @Lunax - great to hear from you again and I'm glad that you are coping through these extremely stressful days. Things will get easier after the wedding, and then life will catch up and you will have all sorts of new adventures to learn how to prioritze so you don't get overwhelmed. Good job on your continued quit! @Jon - sorry that I bailed on the 30 days of activity thing, I am glad to see that you are sticking to it and making it happen!
  18. Well, I'm finally back in MN. Every leg of my trip had a problem. My flight out of MSP was delayed an hour and a half; then we had to wait on the tarmac to take off because ORD was too busy. When we got to ORD we had missed our connection so they put us on a United flight to TUL. After arriving at TUL we drove to Bentonville, checked into our hotel, and I checked our flights for Wednesday. They had cancelled our flight from TUL to ORD, arg. So we went out for a late dinner and I checked again towards the end of our meal and they had changed our flight to Thursday morning. Our salesperson called and set us up a flight on Wednesday afternoon from XNA to ORD as XNA was closer to us anyways. When we got to XNA yesterday afternoon the flight was delayed so we would have been unable to make our connection in ORD so we made arrangements to fly to DFW and then to MSP. Our flight to DFW boarded 20 minutes late and then we were delayed another 40 minutes because they couldn't get one of the overhead bins to stay closed. All that to say that I am only about half way through my schoolwork at this point. Hopefully I can catch up today.
  19. Welcome to the 30 day challenge Jay! Congratulations on your continued progress Luckyducky and SweetCarolinee!
  20. Missed connections and cancelled flights
