  1. I would say that this is applicable to at least 80% of ADHD diagnoses.
  2. Perhaps way over-diagnosed but I think that there are some people with legitimate issues; I guess it doesn't matter what label you put on those people. I know that my issue is a consistent, measurable visual processing deficit and I don't care what people call it because there are no effective medical treatments for it; just have to deal with it. Of course you already knew that I would come in with a slightly dissenting opinion when you posted this IR
  3. Find a different doctor, one who will actually listen to you!
  4. Congratulations Cassie, I guess that means the interview went well!
  5. I'm glad to hear that you've made good progress! I would agree with your newfound sense of perspective also. Keep up the excellent work.
  6. We're extremely proud of you too! You have made amazing progress by making it through two semesters without the crutch. Feeling crappy is just your body's way of telling you that it is tired because you are building mental muscles. Keep at it and the bad days will soon be outnumbered by the good ones. Give yourself the credit that you deserve; you are still early in the recovery process.
  7. Jittery - too much coffee!!!!!!!!!
  8. Watch out for sharks Dorothy! I just watched Sharknado and let me tell you, those things are nothing to mess with! It was a documentary wasn't it?
  9. WOOT Welcome back Liltex!!! Now back to our originally scheduled programming.
  10. There's not much more to add to OC1 and Quit-1nc's posts. Heed their wise advice and welcome to the forums!
  11. Watched some teaser videos for Walking Dead season 5, excited for October!
  12. So is it a "throw as much against the wall and see what sticks" type of philosophy?
  13. Hopefully we can give you the strength that you desire. Lean on us as much as you need to; that's what we're here for!
  14. Last two weeks of the semester, going to take a little mini-vacation for a couple of days in the near future to celebrate. Until then: quiz today, test tomorrow, write a press release, do some PPT crap, take 5 more quizzes, do some more PPT crap, write one last paper, do some Office integration crap, take one last quiz, and take one final exam. Oh yeah, I feel like I accomplished a lot last week. I sprayed 6 gallons of weed killer, started cleaning the garage, wired my garage door opener, just about finished rebuilding my dryer, and replaced my sump pump (I'm sure there's some other stuff in there too). I don't think that I could have done all that plus school last summer.
  15. At two months you are still learning how to crawl, don't pressure yourself to run yet. You are doing great! We all have down days but they become less frequent as time goes on.
  16. You have figured it out! Consider joining the 30 day challenge to help keep you on track.
  17. It's not easy to quit, but it is worth it. I suspect that you have lost part of your identity in the last three years. In the early stages of withdrawal, you will be lazy but you need to tell yourself that it's OK because your body needs to heal before it can begin to rebuild and recovery. This is no small decision and I empathize with your fear, but you can do it!
