  7. Hey MFA, I love that book. There is a website called Vitalist.com that basically turns his whole method into a website. ticklers etc.. I'm not sure if David Allen is involved with this website or not. But the purpose of the site turns his book into actionable form. You can enter in all your "actions" and then label them etc. etc. It takes a little bit of time to learn the website, but once you do, it's great. I check my list every day. When I make my lists, I dont go as detailed as he describes in the book. I find that takes too much time, labeling everything. But it keeps me on track. because i know if something is on that list, i wont forget it. If you try out the site and have any questions about how to use it, feel free to ask...I spent a lot of time learning it a while back. If you learn how to use it, you will totally understand the GTD system. One new feature they added on the website, that i really like but took getting used to, is that once you cross something off your list, it's gone, you can never get it back and look at it again. I guess that it's supposed to reinforce the whole principle of O.H.I.O. "only handle it ONCE"...
  8. wooooooohooooooooo! I am so psyched for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations MFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez I am so aware of how tough those interviews are and wow holy geez cow what an amazing accomplishment! Adderall is SO WORTHLESS isn't it?
  9. Are you ready to seriously consider moving out? Like everyone said, you are in a rough situation where all of you are encouraging one another just by the fact that you are all doing it. Can you see realistically see yourself staying off it while they are all doing it...while living with them? Beating Addiction is a hard process with lots of very difficult steps you have to make to be one of the 1 in 35 who statistically gets clean for good. But if you keep up with this site and follow the advice you'll learn all the tips and advice you need to beat it,

  11. More interesting lobster facts lobster is now a commonly requested food for prisoners receiving a last meal before execution, but it was once considered poor mans food, fisherman fed it to their indentured servants, and people were so averse to eating it, they would grind it up and use it as fertilizer. Some states in Britain had laws against feeding prison inmates lobster more than a few times a week, as it was considered cruel and unusual punishment, on the same grounds as feeding them rats. Read here to see how it got so fancy... http://www.cracked.com/article_17246_when-lobster-was-spam-5-gourmet-foods-that-used-to-be-cheap.html
  12. More than 30000 people die each year in the US from unintentional injuries in the home...accidental poisoning, falls, and fires were the top 3 causes..
  13. I am going to forget I just read that because I love eating lobster. I cooked a lobster bake over the fourth of July and it was soo delicious...clams, mussels, shrimp, potatoes, sausage in one big pot steamed in white wine....then there is lobster Mac and cheese...have you ever had that? It is the most delicious thing. Oh and lobster stuffed mashed potatoes are super good. As Stuffed grilled lobster with lemon butter...main lobster rolls , lobster bound together with mayonnaise and chives on a toasted bun, ooh and lobster pot pie...which is lobster cooked in a pastry, like chicken pot pie but made with lobster instead.
  14. Craziness. I had the exact exact opposite problem. Ever since I quit I have had to use nasal gels. I never had to use them before i quit. I have spent so much money on Nelli meds nasal gel its not even funny...at night I can't breathe a lot of times unless I use that stuff..it's gotten much better though. When I just quit, it was bad...it's gotten better since then..
  15. venting extreme frustration...Just because my professor gives us a "take home exam" doesnt give him the right to make it IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

    Dr. Oz

Interesting...i just got raspberry ketones in they mail. A sample package of them from GNC that came with my Mega Men energy and metabolism multivitamins. What are these? Anyway, Dr. Oz has written a diet book in the past, but it wasn't a fad diet, like drink water with maple syrup every day and lose 100 pounds. It was more like a general common sense healthy diet, called YOU: On a Diet. But of course, you know, these daytime shows are all driven by ratings and people seem to tune into SUPER SECRETS TO SLIMMING DOWN blah blah...I bet there is pressure to do more of that. Personally, that is first time I've seen the Dr. Oz show, so i am no expert on what he covers and doesn't cover..

    Dr. Oz

I really liked this segment. I liked how at the end Dr. Oz said at the end "It's OKAY to not be perfect in everyone else's eyes" really "getting" that message makes quitting adderall so much easier.
  19. LOL. Teva response to adderall story on Dr. Oz "Doctor's should properly monitor their patients"
  20. i loved how one of the doctors on the Dr. Oz show said...how do you tell the difference between ADD vs. a severe case of modern life? In hindsight, when i got my first prescription for ritalin, it was to treat my severe case of modern life!

    Dr. Oz

I am watching this now... it's crazy. he wanted help. they tried to put him in rehab, the beds were full, so they were told to admit him to the ER, they did that..the ER referred him to outpatient care and to see a special psychiatrist the next day...he goes to the psychiatrist with his mom and walks out with another prescription for adderalll!! And the whole reason they were there was to get help for adderall addiction.
