  1. I hear loud fireworks outside my window!

  2. Today what I learned is that consumers will pay more for candy in expensive-looking packages. But shiny labels on wine bottles signify less expensive wines. Dull labels signify more expensive wines.
  3. right, no thats a good point. a very good point.
  4. right, increased functionality. but i want to stress...its really not a big deal to me either way... edit-we posted this at the same time. so i didnt read what you said above yet.
  5. aside from kit kat bars... I think pretty much everything that goes on top of a salad is a good healthy high energy food. tofu, olives, all kinds of beans: cannelini, kidney beans, black beans, definitely hardboiled eggs and all kinds of nuts and seeds like sunflower seeds go good on salads...basically everything that you would find at a salad bar...except maybe crumbled bacon or croutons...
  6. advertising? no, i was not saying to commercialize this place or reach out to the media. i think my post may have been misunderstood. but sky, i understood what you said in the beginning about keeping the simplicity.
  7. we could be so much bigger, you know, adderall stories are always covered all over the media... woahh..they are really advanced. i just perused their site. hmmmm...they DO have pretty good signatures. edit - maybe our avatars should have a theme, like all animated characters...like Mike's.
  8. see sky, we can glean ideas from them and put them here!!! what do you all think? see a feature. add it to this thread and then compile a wish list to give to Mike (if he has the time) I did already ask Mike for some more emoticons and he's going to hook us up..he says he has to just upload them.
  9. That is crazy. quitting adderall threads on a site that looks like our but is not ours. looks like we have a lot of "unique" cousings http://taboard.com/f...dex.php?act=idx MFA, my personal favorite is below. and I am trying to find a way to use this one in context.
  10. your list is so much healthier than the food i was going to suggest. Yesterday, I grabbed a kit kat bar from the vending machine and it gave me a great burst of energy,
  11. i stumbled across our kind of funny parallel universe. http://www.unexplain...dex.php?act=idx why parallel universe? I think they use the same board or forum technology as us. But they seem to have more features and functionality than us. I was thinking if there are ideas we see on their site we would like to include on this site as well, maybe we can put in a request to Mike? like blog functionality which they have. It might be as simple as Mike clicking a button to activate a feature since they are using the same technology. Thoughts? (I stumbled onto this website because i saw the creeeeeeepiest movie (Haunting in Connecticut 2), which was based on a true story that was featured on unsolved mysteries and so i went looking on the internet for more on that true story that inspired it)...
  12. I have just discovered how yummy and convenient microwavable macaroni and cheese is.

  13. I think for me getting over adderall means learning how to handle duress on my own if that makes any sense..

  14. KyleChaos, I think its not just a physical dopamine link with mental sharpness. Here is how i believe adderall damages us psychologically. I believe that on a psychological level, adderall withers away our belief that we can control our circumstances to perform well. When we quit the adderall we begin regaining our belief that we are in control and we can change our own fate..that we can salvage unfavorable circumstances. edit - the anology i am thinking of is ocean wave beach erosion. The ocean wave is of course the adderall, the beach is our internal belief in our abilities..
  15. MFA, you are getting really good at telling your story each time you tell it. And the better you tell your story the better chance you have of getting a job. It may seem boring to you but you are getting better at telling it to them each time and remember they are hearing it for the first time. it's going to come out much more concise and natural than other people who haven't practiced and are struggling to think of their story. For a lot of people this could be there first interview and their story will come out rougher. I think its awesome that you are lining up so many different interviews. You clearly have an outstanding resume, it's just a matter of time. Remember, the average job search is 9 months. Im feeling confidant youre going to beat the odds. (but for variety, the one where you have to give a presentation in 1 hour sounds seriously unboring)
  16. Thanks MFA, I feel better! Yes, I am off the grid school wise. Much longer than most of my peers. I think about that too. You are right. There is really nothing i can do. I might as well not feel bad while i wait for the news which is one week from now. By the way i really admire how you have been handling your interviews!
  17. great point. i would have just assumed EST and shown up then. so what time zone guys? I dont think I can do PST because Ill be class. Although I can just come a little later or catch the next one.
  18. I remember that thread...i remember steventhekyle when i bumped into you on another forum ehealthforums and referred you to this one..lol. Quit Once - I was thinking about what you said, about the certification exam. I just handed in my first exam, it was a take home. Its my first real exam (that's not a quiz or homework) that is worth 20% of my grade. I really feel like doing well on it would give me some much needed confidence as i get started here in school. But after we handed it in, of course everyone was discussing what they did on the exam, and i realized i made some serious errors and the stuff , charts and graphs to support, were not as substantial as everyone else's. I got a major concept wrong, that seemed like such common sense for everyone else. I felt so lousy i had to walk away, but of course I couldn't stop dwelling on it for the rest of the day, and today too. I have resolved im going to get bad grade. It's just a horrible way to start, in terms of getting some needed confidence. When i was on adderall, i shot for a 4.0. Now, I am shooting for a 3.25 to keep my scholarship. At the very minimum a 3.0 per semester is needed to obtain my MBA. Much lower standards. But still, i dont think i performed well enough on this last take home and i really dont want to be like this through the rest of the semester.
  19. MFA I'm totally on board! Tuesdays 8- 9 works for me. Should we all plan to be in the chat room then?
  20. We need to all team up and file a class action suit! I just want to cause them a bigger storm. They pawn it off like adderall addiction is a rare occurrence. But if you look at this site...if people knew that a 1000 people a day are visiting a site for adderall addiction..and that's only including those who have found us....well they..teva and the public would think much differently about the whole thing.
  21. posted this once before..sad similar story..from last year. http://www.dailymail...l#axzz2KHTT8qE8
  22. idmcniel, you have a great attitude. keep it up!!
  23. Here is Teva pharmaceuticals response to the story Teva Pharmaceuticals, the company that makes Adderall, issued a statement: “Adderall is a Schedule II controlled substance, and the package insert clearly states the risks associated with incorrect dosage, misuse or abuse and recommends that doctors properly monitor patients. This medicine is not recommended for patients with a history of drug abuse. Adderall is one of many prescription drugs subject to abuse.”
