  1. Just slept away the evening, stupid allergies.
  2. Way to keep your nose to the grindstone Inrecovery!
  3. Deep breath and realize that this will pass, you are doing great and have almost completed the 30 day challenge! Keep your expectations low for a while longer it is okay that you are letting things slide right now. You are getting your mental house in order and that needs to take priority over your literal household. We are all proud of you for your great progress.
  4. Adderall's job is to make the crappy and mundane things palatable. You just listed a bunch of things that are horrible about taking it and then you say that it makes everything better. This stuff is a powerful liar, isn't it? Read all of the articles that Mike has posted on this site and use them to plan your quit. Consider joining the 30 day challenge and post daily or even hourly if necessary. We will support you through the process. Welcome to the forum!
  5. Another fellow business major, graduate or undergraduate? The early stages of recovery suck and it's great that you are being honest about it! I believe that it is healthy and will help you process what is happening with your mind and body. You are making great strides even though it may not feel like it.
  6. Good plan for relaxation and sleep. You gave yourself a big advantage by taking time off work to get through this first little bit.
  7. Good luck SweetCarolinee, although I'm sure that you won't need LUCK! My concern with starting the job search now is 3 sided: #1 It's a distraction from my schoolwork. The job search is littered with ambiguity and I have been conditioned to focus on solving the issue at hand during times of uncertainty which could stagnate my studies. #2 What happens if I find the perfect opportunity while I'm still in school? The first 6 months of a job are so critical to getting in the groove that I would want to focus on that which will limit my chances for success in school. #3
  8. Paralyzed - by fear of rejection, how silly is that?
  9. Your kids deserve the best mom possible; are you willing to do the hard work to be that person? It sounds like you have hit bottom and I hope that you decide to knuckle up and take care of business. We are here for you and I will also keep you in my prayers. This is a great place to share openly and honestly as noone here will be judgemental. Thank you for joining; I hope that you will stick around and use this community as a resource to help quit.
  10. You can do anything that you put your mind to. The tiredness will go away over time and then you have to fight the "blahs" or what some call laziness but I believe it's more a lack of desire to do anything. Everyone's journey is a little different so you need to just give it time and let it run its course without being too critical of your lethargic behavior. Welcome to the forum!
  11. Way to go on your continued recovery! Oh yeah, caffeine helps get me through the day. SQUIRREL
  12. Congratulations Ashley! 2 years and all these great things happening for you are all really exciting. YOU DESERVE IT
  13. I'm glad that you are keeping close to the forum for support. We are here for you and you are kicking butt...you've got this!
  14. A positive mental attitude will take you a long way! I believe the half life of adderall is around 4 - 5 days so it is definitely still in your bloodstream.
  15. It sounds like you might benefit from some relaxation and meditation techniques to get you calmed down. RELAX! Congratulations on your decision to quit; you can do it.
  16. TGIF - the weekend means work is over but I still have to do a crapload of schoolwork
  17. I'm coming up on 14 mos. myself and find that my worst times are when I don't get enough sleep. Even this far along in recovery we are not strong enough to deal with a minor sleep deficit so make sure that you are always mindful of getting enough rest; some days that may mean 8 hours and other days it may mean 14 hours.
  18. I think that any amount of long term exposure really scrambles your brain. I believe that the title of this thread is applicable to at least 90% of the people on these forums that are in recovery.
  19. Your body is repairing itself and that is taking a lot of energy; so you have a reason to be worn out. Your tired, not lazy!
  20. Makes me want to go back to the dr. and get a script...
  21. It sounds to me like you have reached the point where adderall is no longer effective and the quality of your work on adderall sucks; is that enough of a motivator for you? You can quit when you set your mind to it and are determined to never go back down that road. Welcome to the forum!
