  1. The 100, West Wing, Suits that should do you for a while lol. Kinda makes me wish I was in early recovery so much great TV!
  2. I promise it gets easy as time goes on. As your brain "turns on" again you will see the world in a new glorious way. Adderall is the ultimate mindfuck. Sleep and recalibrate make life easy peasy for now. Netflix got me through some of those early days.
  3. From a fellow Canadian welcome to the board . You can expect a brain recalibration period during early recovery. Sleep is the best medicine right now.
  4. Welcome to the board. Great post thank-you for sharing your story. Congrats on getting clean, and moving forward.
  5. When I was taking big doses like that I experienced those heart palpitations. It's one of the many scary side effects of Adderall. Your body is telling you something. The decision to get clean is yours to make. Take some time to research what happens in early recovery. Your going to need to crash for a bit while your body recalibrates. Welcome to the board you've found a community of people here to support and be supported. Take some time and read the articles and old forum posts. Its not too late not even close.
  6. Memorial Day means no Game of Thrones!
  7. I'm slowly but surely learning the forum software. Drastic change alway freaks out users. I played a bit with the ranking system you will note you are now a senior member.
  8. I moved some things around on the forum what do you think?
  9. Well its been a year. I've orbited the SUN once without taking Adderall. A long year that I will remeber with a certain bitter sweet fondness. But lets not dwell on the year that has passed and wonder what life would be like if .... Life is just too damn short. I wanted to write and epicly triumphant post today. A hollywood story of how triumphed over addiction and from the gutters of Canada I built an empire. The reality of my recovery is that I am still wobbly and unsure. Recovery has its own timeline which can not be rushed or forced. Time heals all things. Steadfast in my commitment to move forward and have a few epic triumphs along the way. I continue on this journey of baby steps with the knowledge that nothing is impossible. My priorities, motivatons and perspective have changed dramatically over the last year. I don't quite understand what my new motivations are yet. I know I want to keep things simple, have balance, and turn a healthy profit. But I am still wobbly in this new life of mine. Its as though I am working on a 5000 piece puzzle without the photo on the box. I've put together the borders and started working on chunks, in year two I hope to connect some of those chunks and start seeing the big picture. In year two I will focus solely on my health/fitness. I believe this is the silver bullet to improving my confidence, self esteem, focus, prosperity etc. A year from now I would like to be a non-smoker, 40 pounds lighter and looking good in a tshirt (white lrg Calvin Klein vneck) . A year from now my buisnesses should be turning a tidy profit and something I am proud of. I've learned over the last year that I am the master of my destiny and my thoughts become things. Mindset is everything! I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this year. Too many members to list, you have all played an intergal role in my recovery, today would not be possible without you. A year off Adderall is a huge victory for me but for this community as well. This is our victory and I look forward to many many more. Much Love, ZK
  10. Target-- went to Target for the first time ever today... They opened in Canada about a year ago. Really nice store, but very few customers.
  11. GIven AA and its principles are only 80 years old. The ideas principles of the 12 step program are relatively new ideas in the world. I wonder what addicts did before? The larger concept of recovery is evolving and becoming more sophisticated. This evolution is a necessary because drugs are evolving. Amphetamines were only discovered in the late 1880's. Making our addiction a new one. Groups like ours embrace 2 technology paradigms internet technology and advancements in psychoactive drugs. The basic tenants of a 12 step program are applied here but dare I say those principals evolved with the exponential technology of our times. What we do here at QA works. Can it be improved upon ?
  12. You make some really good points in this letter. Stimulant addicts are unique
  13. Amy it really doesn't matter how many times you fail. The only requirement for membership here is a desire to quit adderall. Besides when you post about the hell you are in, it strengthens our commitment to quit. The way to get clean and stay clean is addicts helping addicts. I quit millions of times and i'm really only one pill away from an epic bender.
  14. Early on I did. Not so much now
