Reach down deep and find the strong person that you used to be. You are still there...hiding and afraid of life. don't pick it back up. Cancel your prescriptions. Tell your doctors. I would probably not tell the kid's doc...you might get jail time for that. But, you could tell the doc that you are not putting your kid on it anymore and to stop writing the scrip. I am so sorry that you are going through this. We have all been there. Living proof that you can escape this horrible trap. Stay close to this site and post often. Welcome and good luck!

I like the acting class idea. My dad was in the Navy while I was growing up and we moved every 2 1/2 - 3 years. I had to act like I wasn't miserable. I had to act like I was happy. I had to act like the people I was around. I have been acting all my life... But, you know what? The more you act happy, the happier you are. You kind of forget when you stopped acting. Try sounding mean while you are smiling. it is almost impossible! Add a smile, and fake on!!

If you lasted 5 days before, then quit cold turkey 5 days before you go to rehab...I have never had any luck with tapering. It is just dragging out the misery. Good luck!

100% agree! I never abused or took more than my dose...still an addict...same side effects. Apparently, the Adderall didn't care that I was a "responsible user". -

A lot of interventionists are recovering addicts. It helps to understand what people are going through. -
Ugh...I love candy corn. Damn early Halloween crap is going to be my downfall... I can't restrict all carbs except candy corn and expect to lose any more weight! I love those crazy little tri colored bitches...

How much caffeine are you consuming every day? What other drugs, herbals? Are your liver enzymes better now? 3 months is very early in your recovery...give yourself a break.

That is excellent advice!

The diarrhea sheets grossed me out. I don't think I could sit through it again.

I have gained 40, then I lost 20 and have recently put 10 back on. I am dealing with some depression and lack of motivation issues, though. The excuses just roll of my fingers...

I am so glad that it is going so well! I know how difficult relationships can be and feel very fortunate to have figured a lot of crap out over the years. A little bit of marriage counseling and a lot of communication... I see a common issue in relationship problems and it is the inability of women to understand that men are not as complicated as we make them out to be. I think we project our issues onto the guys and then wonder why things aren't going smoothly. The guys, on the other hand, just try their best to figure us out and keep us from getting pissed off so that they get sex fairly regularly (or at all). This is, of course, a generalization. However, after just 2 days of facebook research/polling I am pretty confident that all of us women have similar issues in our relationships. What we don't always know is that we generally have all of the power in a relationship, and can change the situation pretty easily. If we are not too stubborn to do it... This doesn't apply to partners with psychological issues, abusive situations, and/or politicians. LOL. I hope that I don't make anyone mad here. How am I going to market this book to women without pissing them off? I was sure pissed when my marriage counselor spent most of his time focusing on my issues. Bastard... Turns out, he was right and after I changed the way I interact with my husband we have been blissfully happy ever since. Mostly. He did refuse to refill my Adderall prescription 14 months ago...but, I have since forgiven him.

If you figure that out, please let me know...
