  1. I'd forgotten all about many of these side effects.I think i've experienced almost all of these. Tho its been a brutal winter I am not shivering cold and able to enjoy winter walks. I am truly grateful for not having any of these side effects today. This topic really pounds home the fact that I was not superman while taking them.
  2. I experienced a variety of cardiovascular issues (racing heart, cramping up).. I always had canker sores. I really don't miss is being shivering cold all the time. I never ate and when I would crash I would be ravenous Sleep deprived and always headachey. Couldn't think straight... numerous warning signs.
  3. I figured I'd pin it intermittently so it had more significance.
  4. got in some walks last week. The weather snapped cold again so back to the gym.
  5. dis-solvable melatonin works wonders for my sleep.
  6. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - too much coffee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. There is no magic bullet for depression. I don't think it ever completely goes away. You sort of manage it with a variety of techniques. Exercises a huge one for me. From what I can recall early in my quit the depression was pretty shitty. It gradually gets better.
  8. Pomodoro is a technique you can read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique there are tons of apps available. Or you can just use an egg timer I use a few different ones. My favorite for iphone is Focus Time on iPad I use Concentrate. Another thing I use is on my computer is Say The Time every fifteen minutes my computers audio tells me what time it is. I find it a good reminder to stay in the moment or get back on track. Recently I blocked a ton of websites I waste time on my router. Now I have to go to Starbucks to use facebook etc. This may seem extreme but I work from home and found myself procrastinating alot.
  9. This is the best article i've seen that explains adderall and how it works. Trigger warning some pill images http://www.hightimes...ite-amphetamine
  10. I started using Adderall & Concerta because I wanted to be superman. Looking back on it I was an overly-competitive jerk who lived for the approval of others and allowed people to walk all over me. I was a workaholic looking for a way to super overachieve. As it turns out being a overachieving know it all , just annoyed everyone. In a weird way I'm glad I abused adderall. Over the last 7 months of recovery I've really grown as a person. I understand how depression and anxiety effect me and understand how to change my state. To quote @Cassie "There is meaning in the struggle" .
  11. 9 days to project launch... Shit is getting real.
